Ahmad, Natsir Seek 4th Consecutive Win in Birmingham

VICTOR Indonesian mixed doubles stars Tontowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsir  will be seeking their 4th consecutive victory as the number four seeds at the prestigious 2015 All England Open taking place early March.

The 2013 “World Champions” will potentially need to get past English couple Chris and Gabrielle Adcock in the quarterfinals, and they are in the bottom half of the draw along with second seeds Joachim Fischer Nielsen and Christinna Pedersen. If they go all the way to the finals, they are expected to face again 2013-2014 runner-ups, China’s Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei.

World number 1s Lee Yong Dae and Yoo Yeon Seong lead the field of a packed men’s doubles draw with possible second-round challenge from 2014 Commonwealth Games gold medalists Goh V Shem and Tan Wee Kiong of Malaysia. Fourth seeds Hendra Setiawan and Mohammad Ahsan could be awaiting them in the semifinals.

2014 men’s singles and 2012 women’s singles semifinalists Son Wan Ho and Tai Tzu Ying, representing Korea and Chinese Taipei respectively, will be looking to lift the year’s first major championship here in Birmingham.
