Sydney, 7/4/2013-Indonesia has successfully confirmed to bring home its third titles from Australia Grand Prix Gold 2013 on Women Double, Men Double and Mixed Doubles disciplines.
Title was taken by mixed double pairs Irfan Fadhilah/ Weni Anggraini. The tournament’s third seed pairs have brought a very close, yet dramatic three games match of 21-14 22-24 21-16 to Korean Pairs Shin Baek Choel/Jang Ye Na.
The match was a brilliant one, both Irfan/ Weni and Shin/ Jang shows quality match that entertain the spectators at Sydney Convention Center.
Speaking after the match, Irfan said: “we already expected a tough game, since the game started, we tried to control both the back and front of the court, Shin/Jang has a very strong smash, so, we try to give no lob and attack early.”
“This is our first title; even so, we felt that we haven’t given our best. Compare to other tournaments, our fighting spirit is enormous for this tournament. This title has boosted our confidence; we don’t want to be easily pleased.” Weni added.
