In the 54-minute match, Tai encountered the threat from Chen Yufei as 21-23 in first game, but then quickly made an adjustment in the following two by 21-15, 21-9. She not only pushed on the head-to-head to 9-0, but also seemed to be well-prepared for the World Championships and Asian Games coming next.

Though with the same results, Chan/Goh went through high-quality battles by defeating compatriots Goh/Lai and pulling down two competitive pairs from China. Following the titles at Thailand Masters and US Open, they proclaimed another strong bounce back since they reunited in January.
